Reflections on the "The Tin King Family Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival" Event
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a significant traditional Chinese festival, symbolizing family reunions, harvest celebrations, and a sense of longing.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival night was particularly special, not only welcoming the year's first "supermoon" but also coinciding with the "Harvest Moon," which occurs every three years in October. While the Harvest Moon typically appears in September, it shifts to October approximately every three to five years. This was the case in 2025, marking the first time the Harvest Moon has returned to October since 2020, with the next occurrence not expected until 2028.
The so-called "Harvest Moon" refers to the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. In ancient times, farmers would use the bright moonlight on this night to continue their harvest work. Consequently, both Eastern and Western cultures celebrate the full moon of the autumnal equinox, viewing it as a time to express gratitude for the harvest and share the fruits of their labor, embodying a profound spirit of gratitude and sharing.
During this past Mid-Autumn Festival night, we held the "Tian Jing Family Celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival" event. At the event, we not only saw many familiar faces but also welcomed many newly registered students, parents, and enthusiastic neighbors. This video was edited for us by Mr. Wong Tai-wai, Chairman of the Incorporated Owners of Siu Pong Court. We are now witnessing the fruitful results of over 30 years of hard work. Thank God.
